Foster Care In The U.S.
Currently, over 500,000 children are living in the U.S. foster care system and the number is still rising. Over 200,000 of these children are eligible for adoption and must wait an average of four years or more for an adoptive family.
Global Orphan Population
If orphans were a country of their own, the population would rank 8th in the world. There are nearly 200 million children who are orphans in the world, that is just above the entire population of Bangladesh or Russia.
Discrimination
